Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour Night Shift (typically 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), days vary

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and Telemetry units, ensuring adherence to standards of practice
Direct and guide patient/family teaching and oversee activities of other nursing personnel
Communicate promptly with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
Maintain knowledge of EMTALA regulations and report child/adult abuse as required
Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in the state of Michigan
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
NIHSS or Stroke Certification preferred
COVID vaccination/boosters preferred
BVP (MAB) training required
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of the nursing process and patient care delivery
Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and abuse reporting
