Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Triage patients promptly based on acuity and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Act quickly and calmly in critical situations to stabilize patients and improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred
• Previous emergency department or critical care experience preferred, though passionate new graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures, including IV insertion and medication administration
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Comfort with electronic medical records and thorough documentation
