Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
  • Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding, respecting individual preferences
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner
  • Uphold infection control and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

  • Active Delaware CNA certification in good standing
  • Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet DE DHSS fingerprinting requirements (agency must be registered)
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
  • Must wear a photo badge and bring state or federal ID to the facility

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of resident care principles, including ADLs and infection control
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a care team
  • Comfort with electronic documentation and medical terminology
  • Attention to detail and strong observation skills
  • Empathy and patience when working with elderly or disabled residents
