Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to capture detailed images that help physicians diagnose heart conditions
• Conduct stress echoes, transesophageal echoes, and 2-D imaging with color flow and cardiac Doppler
• Record procedure data accurately in patient charts and EMR systems while keeping physicians informed of critical results
• Maintain and disinfect cardiology equipment to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Support the care team by assisting with EKGs, event monitors, pulmonary function tests, and stress testing
• Precept new employees and supervise students to help grow the next generation of echo technologists
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monthly cardiovascular meetings
• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care while protecting patient privacy and rights

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Vascular/Echocardiography or Allied Health with on-the-job training
• Registered or registry-eligible with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or ARDMS
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• One to two years of echocardiography experience preferred, including 2-D echo, TEE, and stress echo
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's of Science degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from an accredited institution
• On-the-job training with an Associate's degree in Allied Health also accepted

• Diagnostic Ultrasound and Cardiovascular Procedures
