Radiologic Technologist - Xray
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends and call, 40 hours per week
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality X-ray and diagnostic imaging procedures on a variety of exams including brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
- Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment with precision and care
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate imaging results
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following department protocols
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of recent X-ray tech experience
- Current ARRT certification
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to float to Mercy Southwest (approximately 6.5 miles away) as needed
- Reliable and flexible with rotating call and weekend schedules
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety standards
