Psychiatric Float Pool RN - Adolescent
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Start Date: 07-06-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, with flexibility to change days based on census demands (includes weekends and holidays)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in the psychiatric float pool
- Delegate interventions appropriately and supervise care delivery
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for children and adolescents
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Qualifications
- Current, active Maine RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
Education
- Graduate of an approved Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and assessment skills
- Proficient in the nursing process and delegation
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to work in high-stress situations
- Basic dysrhythmia and CPI training preferred
