Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with occasional weekend shifts; start times vary between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for acute care patients across medsurg, telemetry, ICU, and other units
Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with orthopedic conditions, total joint replacements, and post-surgical recovery
Deliver therapy to ventilated patients in the ICU, ensuring safe and effective interventions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and rehab techs to optimize patient outcomes
Manage a diverse caseload covering oncology, cardiology, and general medical-surgical populations

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapy license
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in orthopedics and total joint rehabilitation
Experience with ICU and ventilated patients preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Expertise in acute care physical therapy interventions
Ability to treat a wide variety of patient populations including cardiology, oncology, and medsurg
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
