Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times between 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM and end times between 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM; may include one weekend day with a weekday off in exchange; schedules created about a month in advance

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality physical therapy services across acute care units including MedSurg, ICU, Telemetry, Oncology, and Cardiology
Provide specialized care for ventilated patients and those recovering from cardiac surgeries and total joint replacements
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized treatment plans
Support patients through every stage of their recovery journey in a fast-paced hospital setting
Document care accurately using Cerner EMR and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in California
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Experience with ortho, total joints, ICU, ventilated patients, MedSurg, oncology, and cardiology populations
Cerner EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning skills across varied patient populations
Comfort working with ventilated patients in the ICU
Ability to manage a mixed caseload including ortho, oncology, and cardiac patients
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Flexibility to adapt to varied shift times and occasional weekend coverage
