Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional respiratory care to patients across the continuum of care
• Assess patient respiratory status and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Administer respiratory therapies and medications as ordered
• Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment to ensure optimal function
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment plans
• Document patient progress and response to therapy accurately

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is a plus
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in respiratory care modalities including mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
• Knowledge of patient assessment and monitoring techniques
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
• Adaptability to changing patient conditions and priorities
