Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous one-on-one observation and supervision of assigned patients to ensure their safety
• Keep patients comfortable and engaged with appropriate activities or conversation
• Promptly alert nursing staff to any changes in patient behavior or condition
• Assist with basic patient needs such as repositioning, hydration, or hygiene support under direction
• Document observations and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a patient sitter, nursing assistant, or in a similar care role is a plus
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail
• Ability to remain alert and focused during 12.5-hour shifts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is often required - we can help you get it if needed
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Understanding of patient safety and fall prevention protocols
• Strong observation and monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to de-escalate anxious or confused patients with empathy
• Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor
