Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and helping them feel comfortable and at ease.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the orthodontist, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
- Manage patient records and update treatment plans, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Provide post-operative care instructions and answer patient questions with a friendly, caring approach.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training.
- Hands-on experience in an orthodontic or dental setting is a plus.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for patient care.
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures.
- Proficiency with dental software and digital record keeping.
- Attention to detail in maintaining sterile environments.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members.
