Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintaining a clean and organized operatory
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
• Manage patient records and treatment plans using Denticon software
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support the dental team with front desk and scheduling duties when needed

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or licensure in Maryland
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Experience with Denticon practice management software
• Radiography (X-ray) certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Proficiency with Denticon software
• Dental radiography techniques
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
• Patient communication and customer service
