Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and orthodontic procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and ensure a clean clinical environment
• Take dental X-rays, impressions, and photographs for treatment planning
• Apply and remove braces, wires, and other orthodontic appliances
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care of their orthodontic appliances
• Maintain patient records, schedule appointments, and manage treatment documentation
• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Certified or trained Dental Assistant with a passion for orthodontics
• Experience in orthodontic procedures is a plus, including braces and aligners
• Radiography/X-ray certification as required by state regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Dedication to patient comfort and quality care
• Ability to multitask and adapt to a dynamic clinical setting
