Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM with on-call requirement: one night every 2 weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional perioperative care in a busy operating room environment
Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures
Prepare operating rooms and equipment for a variety of surgical cases
Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond quickly to any changes
Document patient information accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Provide compassionate support to patients and families before and after surgery

Qualifications

Active RN license in Illinois
Minimum 2 years of OR experience in a busy department
Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
EPIC charting experience required
DCI/BVP certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of operating room protocols and sterile technique
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to remain calm and focused during high-volume surgical days
Flexibility to extend shifts based on case load
