Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered occupational therapy that helps residents regain independence in daily living
• Evaluate each patient's functional abilities and craft individualized treatment plans that truly fit their goals
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and equipment training with patience and encouragement
• Document progress accurately and promptly so every care team member stays in the loop
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists to build cohesive, whole-person care plans
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies for long-term success

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist license in good standing
• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is a plus
• Current BLS certification
• A caring, team-first attitude and a genuine passion for helping others thrive

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities
• Familiarity with geriatric and rehabilitation-focused care
• Clear, warm communication with patients, families, and teammates
• Solid documentation habits, with EMR experience preferred
• Time management skills that keep a busy caseload running smoothly
• Flexibility and creativity when adapting treatments to each patient's needs
