Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver meaningful stroke evaluations and treatments that help patients regain independence
Provide hands-on manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education to support recovery
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities that restore daily living skills
Collaborate with a dedicated team of 10 OT/PT professionals and speech therapists
Use AIDET communication to ensure every patient feels heard and supported
Document care accurately in Meditech Expanse to keep the care team aligned

Qualifications

Current Occupational Therapy license in Virginia
2 years of experience in hospital and inpatient rehab settings
Strong background in stroke evaluation and treatment
Comfortable working with Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego equipment
Willingness to float to acute care when needed

Knowledge & Skills

Hospital and inpatient rehab experience
Stroke evaluation and treatment expertise
Manual therapy for neuro re-education
Therapeutic exercise and functional activity training
Neuromuscular re-education techniques
Self-care training and functional electrical stimulation
