Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for a diverse acute care patient population
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Manage a daily caseload of 8-10 patients while maintaining high accountability and independence
• Adapt treatment approaches to meet the complex needs of trauma and comprehensive stroke patients
• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
• Serve as a key resource for patients and families navigating the acute care recovery journey

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of acute care hospital occupational therapy experience
• Active Kansas OT licensure (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Trauma experience preferred
• Comprehensive stroke experience preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant OT experience valued

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in OT evaluations and treatments
• Proficient with Meditech EMR
• Strong independent clinical decision-making
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Flexibility in a fast-paced acute care environment
