Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances residents' quality of life
- Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
- Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Coordinate individualized plans of care to support each resident's unique needs
- Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
- Maintain a safe environment through vigilant safety practices and universal precautions
Qualifications
- Current Alaska LPN licensure required
- BLS (CPR) certification from American Heart Association required
- 1 year of long-term care nursing experience preferred
- New graduates welcome with 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place
Education
- Associate's degree in nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical leadership skills
- Ability to coach and educate nursing support staff
- Commitment to safety, integrity, and compassionate care
- Understanding of long-term care regulations and best practices
