Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances residents' quality of life
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Coordinate individualized plans of care to meet each resident's unique needs
Practice the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
Maintain a safe environment through vigilant safety practices and infection control protocols

Qualifications

Current Alaska LPN licensure required
BLS (CPR) certification from American Heart Association required
1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place
Strong assessment skills and commitment to resident-centered care

Education

Associate's degree in nursing required

Knowledge & Skills

Leadership and oversight of nursing support staff
Safe medication administration and clinical documentation
Infection control and universal precautions
Individualized care planning and coordination
Communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
