Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, ensuring comfort and safety
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, status changes, and clinical progress
- Perform wound care and basic nursing procedures following facility protocols
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate handoffs effectively
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred; previous acute or rehab experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to work Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse (LPN) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation practices
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Basic wound care and infection control procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
- Teamwork, time management, and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
- Patient education and compassionate bedside manner
