Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Perform regular patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Document patient care, observations and communications clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient care
- Respond effectively to emergencies and escalating clinical needs
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — ready to practice
- Local candidates only (LOCAL ONLY) — must be within commuting distance of Albuquerque
- Ability to work assigned nights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) and commit to the 9-week assignment
- Comfortable working a 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM shift with a 30-minute meal break
- Professional, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN / vocational nursing program (diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Effective communication with patients, families and care teams
- Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
- Basic clinical procedures typical for LPN practice
