Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care to residents at Genesis - West Region, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the medical record
• Monitor patient status, identify changes, and communicate promptly with the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with activities of daily living and support rehabilitation goals
• Follow facility policies, infection control procedures, and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about care needs and promote a positive care experience

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (required)
• Graduate of an accredited LPN/practical nursing program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willing to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) on Wed/Thu/Fri
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program; high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Charting and electronic health record (EHR) familiarity
• Infection control and safety practices
• Time management and prioritization on long shifts
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
