Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to residents at Sandia Ridge Center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility policy
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and patient responses to care
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and support staff to implement individualized care plans
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote independence when possible
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care
• Support infection prevention, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance every shift

Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN)
• Ability to work scheduled Wednesday-Friday 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
• Reliable, patient-centered approach with strong teamwork and communication skills

Education

• Graduated from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic wound care
• Proficient with vital signs assessment and patient monitoring
• Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Strong communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Good time management and prioritization during long day shifts
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety principles
