Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents in your unit
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor and record vital signs, changes in condition, and report concerns promptly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow care plans
- Perform wound care, ADL assistance, and other clinical procedures per protocol
- Educate patients and families with clear, respectful communication
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper charting to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — required
- Active BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain on hire)
- Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Comfortable with night-shift responsibilities and clinical skills for long shifts
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
Education
- Vocational nursing diploma or LPN certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical judgment for adult and geriatric populations
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Electronic charting and basic computer skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work collaboratively under pressure
