Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Lanham, MD
Start Date: 06-17-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: As needed per diem shifts, including 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support residents with meals and hydration, promoting independence
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
- Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehab setting preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric patient needs and safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Empathy and patience when caring for elderly patients
- Basic computer skills for documentation
