Location: Bowie, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Days vary (per diem), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents, helping maintain dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Support safe mobility and fall-prevention measures during transfers and ambulation
- Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Help prepare residents for meals and assist as needed while respecting dietary needs
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with colleagues
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification encouraged or required per facility policy
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for working with older adults
Education
- GNA certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with geriatric care and assisting with ADLs
- Basic clinical observation and reporting skills
- Infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
