Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for geriatric residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident condition changes accurately
• Support a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and professionally with nursing staff and family members
• Document care delivered in a timely, accurate manner to support continuity

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Compassionate, patient-focused mindset with good communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant or GNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care and common age-related conditions
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Ability to take and record vital signs and report concerns
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
