Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities—bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance, feeding, and safe meal tray delivery
• Keep resident rooms and common areas tidy and comfortable
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
• Observe, document, and promptly report behavioral or health changes

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Class: GNA) required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living helpful but not required
• Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work assigned per-diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident transfers
• Knowledge of infection control and safe care practices
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
• Clear communication and teamwork in a fast-paced care environment
• Attention to detail with resident charts and care notes
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
