Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform thorough cleanings, polish teeth, and apply preventive treatments like fluoride
• Take and develop dental X-rays with accuracy and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care habits
• Document patient treatments, update health histories, and maintain accurate records
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Experience with dental hygiene procedures, X-rays, and sterilization protocols
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene best practices and infection control standards
• Comfortable using dental software for patient records and documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to put patients at ease and explain procedures clearly
