Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
- Perform thorough cleanings, polish teeth, and apply preventive treatments like fluoride
- Take and develop dental X-rays with accuracy and care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care habits
- Document patient treatments, update health histories, and maintain accurate records
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Experience with dental hygiene procedures, X-rays, and sterilization protocols
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental hygiene best practices and infection control standards
- Comfortable using dental software for patient records and documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to put patients at ease and explain procedures clearly
