Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
• Take and develop dental x-rays while ensuring safety protocols
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Follow infection control and sterilization guidelines

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience providing dental hygiene care in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in dental radiography and safety protocols
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Compassionate patient education abilities
