Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care, including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized patient treatment plans
• Take and develop dental x-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care to promote long-term dental health
• Document patient care accurately and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
• Apply sealants, fluoride treatments, and administer local anesthesia as permitted by state regulations

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Experience with dental software and digital radiography is helpful
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Proficient in patient assessment and oral health education
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Detail-oriented with accurate charting and documentation skills
