Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest safety standards
• Take and develop dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning
• Guide patients through their orthodontic journey with clear explanations and a caring approach
• Maintain detailed patient records and assist with scheduling to keep operations running seamlessly
• Provide exceptional chairside support and comfort to patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) strongly preferred
• Current X-ray certification (required in MD)
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, brackets, wires, and appliances
• Strong patient care and customer service skills to create a welcoming experience
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated dental team
• Proficiency with dental software (like Denticon) is a bonus
