Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during procedures and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest safety standards
- Take and develop dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning
- Guide patients through their orthodontic journey with clear explanations and a caring approach
- Maintain detailed patient records and assist with scheduling to keep operations running seamlessly
- Provide exceptional chairside support and comfort to patients of all ages
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) strongly preferred
- Current X-ray certification (required in MD)
- Experience in orthodontics is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, brackets, wires, and appliances
- Strong patient care and customer service skills to create a welcoming experience
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated dental team
- Proficiency with dental software (like Denticon) is a bonus
