Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients
• Perform dental assessments and screenings to identify oral health needs
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Assist dentists during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments, upholding strict infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Previous experience in a clinical dental setting (preferred)
• Strong commitment to patient comfort and quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and techniques
• Proficiency with dental software and electronic patient records
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative dental team
