Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care while assisting the orthodontist with procedures, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, and maintain accurate patient records using Denticon.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, empowering them to maintain healthy smiles.
• Manage patient flow and support the dental team in delivering efficient, high-quality orthodontic treatment.
• Fabricate and adjust orthodontic appliances such as braces, retainers, and aligners as directed.

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified as required by the posting.
• Current Maryland dental assistant certification/licensure is preferred.
• Experience with Denticon software is a plus.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work an evening shift from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials.
• Proficiency with Denticon practice management software.
• Understanding of sterile techniques and OSHA guidelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
