Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during examinations and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure safety
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed
• Provide gentle, compassionate care to young patients
• Educate children and caregivers on proper oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with office workflow

Qualifications

• Completion of a dental assisting program accredited by CODA
• Active Dental Assistant certification in Wisconsin
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to obtain or hold Wisconsin dental radiography certification
• Experience working with children in a dental setting preferred
• A warm, friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in dental software and patient record management
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and behavior management techniques
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Compassion and patience when working with pediatric patients
