Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist pediatric dentists during examinations and procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure safety
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed
- Provide gentle, compassionate care to young patients
- Educate children and caregivers on proper oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with office workflow
Qualifications
- Completion of a dental assisting program accredited by CODA
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Wisconsin
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to obtain or hold Wisconsin dental radiography certification
- Experience working with children in a dental setting preferred
- A warm, friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Proficiency in dental software and patient record management
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and behavior management techniques
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion and patience when working with pediatric patients
