Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and scaling to maintain patient oral health
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Document patient care and update dental records accurately
- Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure a safe, sterile environment
- Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience in a dental office setting, new grads welcome to apply
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Radiography (X-ray) certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
- Familiarity with dental software and patient record systems
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Attention to detail in clinical documentation
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
