Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional dental hygiene care, including cleanings and periodontal maintenance, with a gentle touch
• Educate patients on oral health, prevention, and at-home care techniques
• Partner with a dedicated dental assistant to prepare rooms, manage instruments, and keep patient flow running smoothly
• Work efficiently during half-hour appointment slots to maximize patient care and comfort
• Maintain accurate patient records without the need to take X-rays or perform exams
• Create a welcoming, calm environment that helps patients feel at ease

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Dental Hygienist license
• Ability to provide exceptional patient care and education
• Comfort working alongside a dental assistant
• Professional and warm communication skills
• A commitment to infection control and patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and sterilization practices
• Skill in patient education and oral hygiene instruction
• Understanding of daily dental practice workflows and time management
• Ability to adapt to a team-based care model
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
