Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care to patients of all ages
• Perform thorough teeth cleanings and oral health assessments
• Capture and evaluate dental X-rays to support accurate diagnosis
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
• Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a dental office or clinical setting preferred
• Commitment to infection control and patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and dental charting
• Dental radiography and safety protocols
• Infection control best practices
• Patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Sterilization and maintenance of dental instruments
• Electronic health record documentation
