Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists with patient preparation and comfort during procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms before and between patients
• Capture and update patient dental records and radiographs as directed
• Support the dental team with chairside assistance and procedure setup
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene instructions

Qualifications

• State dental assisting certification or hygienist license as required by Maryland
• Experience in a dental office setting preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Commitment to infection control and patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
• Basic computer skills for charting and scheduling
