Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations of all body parts with professional judgment and attention to radiation protection
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment, set up and run automatic injectors, and assist with interventional CT procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and departmental documentation
• Participate in and assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Transfer and care for patients throughout imaging processes, adapting protocols for pediatric and geriatric patients
• Assist with supply inventory, ordering, and equipment care
• Provide call coverage and respond promptly when required
• Collaborate with referring physicians and support tele-radiology transmission

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to the assigned modality (CT and X-ray focus)
• Willingness to learn and perform in additional imaging modalities as needed (XR, MRI, Mammography, etc.)
• Comfort assisting with invasive procedures and working in sterile technique environments
• Ability to take call and reliably report to work within 20 minutes

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Radiologic technologist training or equivalent clinical education

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care across the lifespan with sensitivity to cultural and developmental differences
• Radiation protection principles and quality assurance practices
• Image acquisition and protocol adjustment for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Contrast administration, automatic injector operation, and awareness of contraindications
• Teleradiology transmission competence and basic sterile technique
• Venipuncture skills and ability to assist with interventional procedures
