Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
  • Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Assist with meals and hydration, monitoring intake and dietary needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
  • Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
  • Support residents' emotional well-being by offering companionship and a listening ear

Qualifications

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Connecticut
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is preferred
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow care plans
  • Physical ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation
  • Understanding of basic patient care principles
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing resident needs
  • Teamwork and collaboration with nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Empathy and patience when supporting residents and families
