Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and pass instruments and supplies efficiently
Assist in draping patients and setting up equipment for surgeries
Ensure proper handling and disposal of surgical specimens
Monitor sterile techniques and correct any breaks in asepsis
Collaborate with the surgical team to provide the best patient outcomes

Qualifications

Hold an active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Must have at least 1 year of recent surgical technologist experience
Eager to jump into a busy surgical environment and hit the ground running
Strong attention to detail and a passion for patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Knowledge of a wide range of surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, and general surgery
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operating room
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to adapt to different surgeons and case types
