Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities that rebuild strength, coordination, and confidence
• Help residents regain the daily living skills that make independence possible again
• Document treatment sessions accurately and on time so care teams always have the full picture
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and families to keep every care plan moving forward
• Track patient progress and flag changes early so goals stay realistic and reachable
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
• Maintain a clean, safe, and encouraging treatment environment for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Maryland
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting is a wonderful plus
• A genuine passion for helping people get back to the life they love
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• New grads with the right energy are absolutely welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid grasp of occupational therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise principles
• Comfort with electronic medical records and therapy documentation
• Ability to adapt treatment approaches to each patient's unique needs
• Great time management across a full patient caseload
• Compassion, patience, and a knack for encouragement
• Sharp observation skills to catch progress and setbacks alike
