Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
• Monitor and document vital signs, behavior changes, and patient responses
• Communicate observations clearly with the nursing team to support care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
• Support residents' emotional well-being through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments (previous experience helpful)
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (state-specific) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic patient care and ADLs
• Knowledge of infection control and PPE best practices
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with charting and basic medical documentation
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observation skills
