Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility records
• Support mealtime assistance and basic feeding needs with dignity

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain (preferred)
• Ability to pass facility background and health screenings
• Comfortable performing physical aspects of care and working a 12-hour day shift
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and good communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Completion of an approved CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care: bathing, toileting, dressing, and feeding
• Familiarity with taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and safe body mechanics
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered communication
• Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes promptly
• Basic charting and documentation skills
