Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and changes in resident condition
• Support residents during meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Collaborate with the nursing team to implement individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but not required
• Must pass a background check and meet facility requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and hygiene practices
• Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
• Accurate documentation and observation skills
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to changing resident needs and schedules
