Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals
• Take and record vital signs, and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
• Assist with mobility, repositioning, and transfers to ensure safety and comfort
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Connecticut
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but new grads are welcome
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed
• Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility
• Attention to detail when documenting care
• Empathy and interpersonal skills
