Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
• Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred)
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting (preferred)
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including some weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient care techniques
• Ability to work effectively as part of a care team
• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Physical stamina to assist with patient transfers and prolonged standing
