Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs, promptly reporting changes to nursing staff
• Assist with feeding, meals, and hydration, ensuring patient comfort and dignity
• Support patients with daily activities and encourage independence where possible
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
• Document care provided accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Previous CNA experience in a medical or acute care setting preferred
• Experience with CDCR or CERNER systems required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move patients safely
• A compassionate, patient-focused attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
• Vital sign monitoring and documentation
• Electronic health record (EHR) navigation, including CERNER
• Medical terminology
• Infection control and safety protocols
• Effective teamwork and communication
