Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions accurately
• Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients in a correctional healthcare setting
• Collaborate with nursing staff to implement and update patient care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment
• Document patient information efficiently in electronic medical records, including Cerner

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Experience with CDCR or Cerner electronic medical records
• Ability to pass background checks required for correctional facilities
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Willingness to commit to a 27-week travel assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records (Cerner)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, structured environment
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and reliable
